Hello, Daddy. I want to thank you for my wonderful life, beautiful wife, the house that protects us, the cars that transport us, the jobs we have that help provide for us, the church family that helps refresh us and keep us on track. The undershepherd you've given to us has stepped out for a much needed sabbatical. You know the family members he has that has burdened his heart, that he's once more going to reach out to. Please cultivate the soil in their hearts to more readily receive your words that lead to life. Then be with our pastor as he travels abroad. Use him mightily. Let him be a beacon of your light to fellow passengers, to people on the streets, to vendors. Keep him safe as he is going to countries that have a reputation of being less than freindly to believers. Bring him back tous safely. Help me to let him be an encouragement to me, and example to follow, in the people that I talk to right here at home.
I want to ask for Your forgiveness for the sins I've committed today. I know that, according to your word, You are faithful and just to forgive me sins if I ask. Help me to own them, and lay them at foot of the cross. I cannot get over these transgressions on my own. It's only by Your power, and through the redemption that You paid for through Your Son, my Saviour, Jesus, that I can hope to overcome and conquer this problem in my life. Having said all that, now let me realize it, believe it, and receive it.
You are my Rock, and my Shield. I love you.
